Served as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students were supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school. Duties included: Preparing and monitoring an annual budget of more than $2,000,000; Provided daily leadership and supervision for students and staff members; Managed school budget to ensure school and district goals were met. Consistently aligned school strategies for academic stability and uniformity of students’ learning process. Recognized by CSP’s CEO, Arne Duncan, for a school that gained five percent or more in both reading and mathematics, placing the school in the top seven percent of schools that were accelerating, 2004 to present. Received the Principal Achievement Award in 2013 for providing exceptional leadership for Chicago’s school and students from the CEO and Mayor Rahm Emmanuel. Earned the highest rating (1+) possible for a Chicago Public School. 2012-2016

Selected among many to open a new school within Chicago Public School to develop strategies to coordinate a solid curriculum and recruited qualified staffing. Provided daily leadership and supervision for students and staff members. Developed and organize activities to address students’ and teachers’ needs. Developed a schedule to guarantee maximum instruction time for teachers and students. Implemented a professional growth instrument for administrators, while organizing a learning community to strengthen collaboration and maintain a continual learning atmosphere.
